Meeting Maker
The Pasteur Institute has a type of web-calendar, called Meeting Maker.
The principal goal of the agenda:
- Organization of meetings (planning and automatic reminders)
- Visualizing a group's agenda
- Sharing of agenda's
- Possibility of choosing the people with whom you want to share your agenda
- Contact lists
- Send emails to contacts that are not on the Meeting Maker lists (for keeping contact with outside people for example)
The Last version - Meeting Maker 8.5 - includes:
- Web access for users at a distance
- Support for iCalendar (send invitations to people and to external calendars)
It is available in various flavors (as I understand) downloadable software for PC and MAC, and as a webclient, for Linux Users.
Downloadable at ftp://ftp.pasteur.fr/pub/Pc/Groupware/ (PC) or ftp://ftp.pasteur.fr/pub/Mac/Groupware/ (MAC).
Online available at http://portail.pasteur.fr:8080/mmwebclient/index.jsp
General help from the Pasteur Institute, about Meeting Maker: http://www.pasteur.fr/pasteur/directions/pasteur-private/dir_com/MM/index.html
I asked the creation of accounts for all of us (which includes a (free) licence).
You basically can access the online version (or install a client on your Windows PC or MAC), and log in without password. It works for me.
Maybe we can test this calendar, while we find a whole-in-one solution with an extermal server (with wiki, group emails, web calendrar, etc).
